Boston & Maine Railroad Milk - Box Herald (1928) 40ft Wooden Reefer Decal 2010 In the 1930's some of these cars were assinged to milk service on mixed trains, particularly on the St. Johnsbury & Lake Champlain. These cars were given the box herald, which was to replace the costly map herald, and sixteen of the cars were given passenger trucks.
