Sail House New Harbor, Maine Kit 1050 - Limited Edition of 65. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Brenna, the contest winner, with Jill and Brian Bollinger. During the summer of 2008 we held a contest with the Lowell, MA division of the Youth in Model Railroading organization. Students were given a set of guidelines to submit ideas for a new kit and the winner would have their entry turned into a kit. That kit would then be used as a fund raiser for YMR. Back when boats were powered by the wind these sail maker's lofts were used to make the sails for boats. They would have been wide open inside with plenty of room to stretch out the sails they were making. This model represents a medium sized sail house. This kit was designed by Brenna Whitney at age 10. This kit was manufactured for and sold exclusively by: Youth in Model Railroading, Inc. - Lowell, MA Division Kit Dimensions:
