Back in 1740, when Massachusetts (United States) still belonged to England, this little shop was build by Benjamin Goodridge as a Shoemaker Shop. Shops like this appeared all over the country in almost every town. As time went on these little shops were put out of business by mills and factories. This particular shop still exists as part of the Boxford Historical Society.
