	Saratoga Coal - Yard Office. Saratoga Springs, New York. Kit 1016 The Saratoga Coal Company was a major coal dealer located in Saratoga, NY. At its peak, it consisted of a large silo complex for storing coal, plus this structure as the office and scale house. This scale house/office dates to sometime before the turn of the (20th) century. In 1921 the original wooden silos burned, and the bins were replaced with a fireproof concrete block structure. The one-story covered coal dump over the tracks was salvaged after the fire. In 1951, this coal dealer received 330 cars of coal.
